The PortaSki has a Patented Wheel-Sled. This makes use of the wheels over bare ground such as roads and paths, but cuts its own track through the soft snow. This ensures that it won't slip off down the slope while traversing, unlike other products that cause the skis to slide around on sloped snow surfaces.
